Minnie Cooke King, age 84, passed away peacefully at AHC Crestview in Brownsville, TN, on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. A private family Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Brownsville Memorial Gardens with Allan Glidewell officiating. Minnie was born on October 31, 1935, to Walter Neman and Betty Maness Cooke, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew King, Sr. and their infant son, Tony Lee King. She is survived by her children, Karen West (Jim), Kathryn King, John A. King, Jr., and Sherry King. She also is survived by her brother Donald Lee Cooke and her sister, Linda Cooke Smith. She leaves a legacy of 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her abiding passions in life was her love for her husband and being a wonderful mother to her family. She worked as a substitute teacher and was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Brownsville, TN. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers for Ms. King are Jack Fox, Zach Fox, Seth Glidewell, Caleb Glidewell, Jerry Myers and Bobby Neal. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to: Westside Church of Christ 3235 Hwy. 54 W Brownsville, TN 38012 Due to restrictions on large gatherings, the family will have a private graveside service.
