Ruby Lee Ballard, age 91 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Huntland on March 24, 1928 to the late Walter C. and Nora (Stovall) Reynolds. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, and growing roses. Ruby was a devoted member of Estill Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Ballard; and siblings, Walter “Buddy” Reynolds, Virginia Bauer, June Buckner, Erma Reynolds, and Geneva Buchanan. Ruby is survived by her loving children, Jay “Buck” (Brenda) Ballard of Decherd, Nora (Bobby) Morris of Estill Springs, and James Madison “Butch” (Ann) Ballard of Estill Springs; sister-in-law, Catherine Gray of Winchester; grandchildren, Jamie Ballard, Stephanie Hanger, Becky Ballard, Cliff Morris, Dennis Morris, Jay Ballard, John Ballard, and Heather Stephens; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
