Jimmy D. Jones, age 75, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness.
Jimmy worked for years at U.S. Reduction, and then as a farmer. He also drove a school bus for Phil Campbell. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tony Wood officiating. The burial will be at Old Line Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert & Dora Jones; step-father, Sam Bratto; and brother, Hugh Don Jones.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Gail Webb Jones; children, Tina King (husband, Scott), Tamela Oden (husband, Keith), Jay Jones; grandchildren, Dustan (Bethany) King, Blake Hester, Sarah (D.J.) Hall; great-grandchildren, Tucker King, Hannah King, Abigail King, Anna Hall, Arabella Hall, Elton Hester; sisters, Patricia Hudson, Linda Lawler, Margie Aycock; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, and an extra thanks to Michelle Adams and Grace Gunn.
