Funeral services for Infant Vincent Drew Pollock, age 5 months and 21 days of Ashland, will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Dinglers Chapel Christian Church with Bro. Billy East officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Vincent passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Clay County Hospital. He was a true fighter from the time he was born. Vincent was born three months early and he fought a long battle to get to where he was. He amazed everyone with how he overcame every obstacle thrown at him. First thing you noticed about him was his beautiful eyes and his precious face. He loved to watch cartoons and talking. When all else failed to calm him, he loved for his mother to sing to him.
He is survived by his mother, Terri Thornton of Ashland; his soon to be brother or sister; his grandparents: Edward and Elvria Thornton and Jona and Martin Ackles, both of Ashland; Jennifer and Chris Pate of Delta; his great-grandmothers: Mattie Strickland and Martha Creamer, both of Lineville; and Mary Thornton of Ashland; two aunts: Katelyn Thornton and Mekali Ackles, both of Ashland; four uncles: Jordan Ackles of Montgomery; Jayland and Shawnna Ackles of Delta; Billy Stewart of Lineville; and Joseph Stewart of Ashland; his godmother, Canetta Thomas of Lineville; and many more aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Edward Thornton, John William Miles, Jr., and Cebron Creamer; and his cousins, Braxton Middendorf and Bentley Ackles.
Tim Miles, Josh Bishop, Jimmy Campbell and Tyler Campbell will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 20, 2020 at Dinglers Chapel Christian Church from 11:30 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
