Robert Wayne Pearson, 70, died Friday, January 24, 2020 in Marietta, Georgia.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with local arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born November 7th, 1949, he was the son of the late George Washington Pearson and the late Mildred Reeves Pearson. He was a 1967 graduate of Columbia Central High School and went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Tennessee Technical in Clarksville Tennessee in 1971. On January 25th 1975, he married Brenda Wood from Columbia Tennessee and relocated to Springfield Tennessee.
On July 11th, 1984 Robert along with Brenda welcomed their beautiful daughter Katherine Megan Pearson into the world. Shortly after Brenda Wood Pearson passed away. Robert remarried to Donna Weiler Pearson and the family relocated to Marietta Georgia in 1990. Robert worked for Mead/Zelleback for over 20 years, Lochkeed Martin for over 20 years with working on projects such as the F22, P3, and S2. Robert retired in January of 2015 and on July 11, 2019 his wife Donna Weiler Pearson passed away.
Robert was a loving husband, father, and avid gun and train enthusiast. He will be greatly missed, remembered, and loved.
