Kyle Matthew Long

Mr. Long passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born April 5, 1985 in Huntsville, AL to Michael and Stephanie Long. Mr. Long was a technical supervisor for Kennametal Firth Sterling in Huntsville, AL. He is survived by his two daughters Saffron Long and Alivia Long both of Athens, AL; his parents of Avondale, AZ; two brothers James R. Long, II. Of Phoenix, AZ; Kevin M. Long of Madison, AL; one sister Kelly M. Long of Avondale, AZ; grandparents James R. and Linda Long of Madison, AL; Margaret Beck of Athens, AL; John and Jan Duplechain of Slidell, LA. Kyle was a great father, son, brother, and friend. Kyle enjoyed the outdoors and cherished his connection to nature. Kyle was a student and teacher of his Native American Heritage and natural medicines. Kyle was devoted to family and expressed kindness and love to all he touched. There will be a Memorial Service Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with brother Donald Terry officiating.
