The funeral service for Mrs. Charles Ann Sims Dison, age 77 of Clay County, will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Jeffery L. Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Dison passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 in Goodwater. She was a native and life-long resident of Clay County, and a graduate of Talladega High School – “Class of 1960”.
Mrs. Dison is survived by two daughters: Leigh Ann Stinebaugh (Alan) of Prattville and Linda Kay Welch (Jimmy) of Smiths Station; one son, Mark Dison (Jannie) of Clay County; and three grandchildren: Sarah Stinebaugh, Ashtyn Stinebaugh and Cameron Welch and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Lane Sims and Vivian Lee Sims; and by her husband of 50 years, James A. Dison.
Mrs. Dison’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson’s Association of Alabama – P.O. Box 590146 Homewood, AL 35259.
