Mr. Wesley Lee Rager, age 92 of Athens, AL passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019. Mr. Rager was born on June 9, 1927 in Elmore County, AL to James Rager and Edna Louise Whitt Rager.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Becky Rager and four brothers.
Mr. Rager is survived by his wife Sandra Rager; children, Debbie Harbin Todd (Steve), Lee Rager (Benja), Lynn Rager (Regina), Shirley Rager, Kenny Rager (Leslie) and Jesse Rager (Mary); step-son, Jay Moore (Karrie); step-daughter, Sonja Eads (Scott); 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Power.
Mr. Rager joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served in Korea.
Services for Mr. Rager will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Mike Green and Lynn Rager officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Harbin, Will Harbin, Matt Roberts, Brandon Rager, Chris Rager, Zach Eads and Justin Rager. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Rager and Heath Rager.
