Ricke Thomas Smith age 65 of Smithville passed away Tuesday morning, December 10, 2019 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. He was born December 8, 1954 in Hendricks, Minnesota to his parents, the late Raymond Earl and Ruth Hanson Smith. He was a Catholic and a carpenter. Ricke was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Patty Smith of Smithville; son, William (Toni) Roesman of Smithville; 2 grandchildren, Duane Bolden and Lillian Roseman; 1 brother, Leroy (Janice) Smith of California. The family has chosen a direct cremation. There will be a Memorial Service held and the time and date will be announced on Wednesday. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
