Gay D. Smith Stackins departed this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at the age of 54 years, 11 months, and 2 days. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 11, 1964, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ruby Mae Johnson Smith. On August 7, 1982, Gay was united in marriage to Weldon “Butch” Stackins, who survives.
Gay had worked at Halls Printing Company in Corinth, Mississippi for 12 years and was a member of Saulters Chapel C.M.E. Church in Michie, Tennessee. She loved giving to others and shopping.
Gay is survived by her husband, Weldon “Butch” Stackins of Michie, Tennessee; daughters, Alicia Weatherspoon of Corinth, Mississippi and Danielle Madlock of Tupelo, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jaylon Stackins, Ashanta Madlock, Shayla Madlock, Charlie Madlock, R.J. Weatherspoon, and Carson Madlock; and sister, Cheryl Wheeler of Tupelo, Mississippi.
