Mary Kathleen Magnusson Hillis 97, of Ardmore, AL died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Limestone Health and Rehab, Athens, Alabama.
Born Sunday, April 16, 1922 in Ardmore, AL, she was the daughter of Ward Magnusson and Ellis Arnett Magnusson.
She was a member of Holland Gin Church of Christ and a nurse for 50+ years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmo Hillis; brother, Glen (Turk) Magnusson; sister, Lorene Arnett Davis; nepew, Joe Raby Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Emerson Blackwell, Ardmore, AL; grandsons, Marty (Kim) Emerson, Capshaw, AL and Mike (Pam) Emerson, Harvest, AL; great granchildren, Nathan Emerson, Natalee Kathryn Emerson, and Madison Emerson Allred; many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL with Bro. Carl Witty and Owen Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
Pallbearers will be Marty Emerson, Mike Emerson, Nathan Emerson, Joe Neil Davis, Donnie Helums, and Barton Barrett.
