Mr. Ralph Holloway, 87, of Scottsboro, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019.
Ralph was of the Baptist faith. He was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 30, and a member of NASCAR for builder of engines that powered the candy apple red car 39 on tracks throughout the south on the Grand National Racing Circuit.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Shelton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife, Shirley Brandon Holloway; children, Elizabeth Holloway Couch, James Ralph Holloway, Phillis Holloway Thorton; grandchildren, Jacob Michael Couch, Luke Brandon Couch, and Taylor Thorton; great grandchild, Ella Rae Couch; sisters, Louise Thomas and Lela Mae Holloway; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bill Hammonds.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Clark and Lou (Hicks) Holloway; brothers, Charles Ray Holloway, Lowell Holloway, Cecil Holloway; sisters, Mildred Holloway, Mabel Potter, Gladys Brown, and Ruby Gilliam.
