Doris Browning Abbott passed away September 24, 2019 at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper, Alabama at the age of 83.
Doris is preceded in death by her Parents-Oscar and Nola Browning; Husband-Curtis Abbott; Siblings-Terry Browning, Aulton Browning and Hellen Wilder.
Doris was born on February 18, 1936. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to anyone she met. She loved her family more than anything! She was always the life of any gathering with her spunky and sassy spirit. She loved the twenty seven years working at Arrow Shirt Factory, spending time camping, fishing and watching Alabama football.
She leaves behind her two daughters-Debbie Abbott Walker (Jerry) and Rhonda Abbott Bolton (Stanley); four grandchidren: Lisa Nichols (Mark), Christy West (Chris), Jeremy Walker (Beth) and Lori Rigsby (Richard).
She leaves behind twelve great grandchildren: Drew Nichols (Cameron), Hunter Nichols, Dillan West, Sydney West, Jordan Walker, Lynlee Nichols, Briley Rigsby, Kaylee Walker, Maci Nichols, Emma Walker, Cole Rigsby and Laine Walker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Waymon Ashley and Mike Jackson will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doris’ life.
