Jewel Warren Moody, Jr., 59, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Born in Huntsville to Jewel and Jacqueline Moody, Warren grew up on Monte Sano Mountain and was a 1978 graduate of Huntsville High School. He worked for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for 30 years and was especially proud of his involvement with the Delta Rocket program.

Warren was an avid Alabama fan and loved woodworking, the outdoors and spending time on Keel Mountain at his cabin which he built with his sons. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diane Daniel.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Cecily Moody; sons, Trey Moody (Ashley), Ryan Moody (Lauren) and Jeremy Moody (Adrienne); grandchildren, Tyce, Skye Marie, Jake, Tess, Emalyn, Rowan, Kate and Anna; and sister, Dru Moody.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 24th, at Central Presbyterian Church with Rev. Randy Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alabama Children’s Hospital Foundation, 1600 7th Ave., S, Birmingham, AL 35233; the American Heart Association; or the Alzheimer’s Association.
