Bob B. FoxBob B. Fox, 78, claimed his gift of eternal life on July 3, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford B. “B.B.” Fox and Macie (Spray) Fox, and sister, Mary Ella (Fox) King. While Bob was born in Huntsville, AL, which he forever called “home”, he spent the last 47 years of his life in Charlotte, N.C.

Bob graduated Huntsville High in 1958 – “The Golden Class”. He attended the University of Alabama, served in the U.S. Army, and moved to Charlotte, NC in 1972. He retired from The American Red Cross and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Bob leaves a much-loved sister, Kathey E. Fox; nephew, Jason P. King; and cousin, Ann (Haines) Hall, respectively, all of Huntsville, AL. Bob, (better known to many as Bobby), leaves a dear friend of 45 years, Charlie Somers. Bob also leaves many other dear friends, in cluding Mike Maples, Pat Fowler and family, Sue Bennie and family, Lori and Todd Walton, Ann Marsh, Susan and Billy Seale, Vickie Loper and family, Heather, Haley and Phoebe Stark, Britta, Kevin, Grey and Penner Alton, and the folks at Jimmie’s Restaurant and Dorian’s Deli & Grille.

Cremation and burial of ashes will be handled by Heritage Funeral Home of Indian Trail, NC, and Laughlin Service Funeral Home of Huntsville, AL. Burial of ashes will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery at the Fox family plot at a later date, with Dr. Bill Crosby officiating.

The family asks that any donations be made to the charity of your choice. Please celebrate Bob’s life and do make it a “festive occasion” – go out to eat, have a get together, have a drink and live to the fullest, as our Bob/Bobby is now with our Lord.
