On June 6th, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother flew into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Margaret Ann Gamble Glover, age 82, was the glue that held our family up in constant prayer and all who knew her knew what a great prayer warrior she was. Our hearts are sad but we rejoice in knowing she is with her Savior and walking the streets of gold she so richly deserved.
Margaret was a member of York Terrace Baptist Church where she faithfully served and worshipped for 61 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael David Glover, and her parents, Albert and Sylvia Gamble.
She is survived by the love of her life for 62 years, Robert “Bob” Glover; daughters, Robbie Galloway (Kenny) and Kim Bates (Kenn Vinson); daughter-in-love, Kathy Glover (Charles “Redeye” Jackson). Grandchildren, Emily Thompson (Matt), Mitch Glover (fianceé, Jennifer Rutledge), Katie Schlarp (David), Sara Pullen (Jared), Jacob Bates, Jesse Bates (Kristin Foreman). Great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Connor, Natalie Thompson, Mykal Glover, Caleigh Allen, Kyndal and Avery Schlarp, Jackson and Colton Pullen, Brooklyn and Kallie Bates, Brody and Braxton Bates, her twin sister, Mary Ann Bowling and a multitude of wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to her devoted friends, Peggy Bishop and Sue Collier, neighbors, Sandra and David Barnett for helping us through this journey and also to Keller Hospice Care who lovingly tended to her final days.
Visitation will take place at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia on Saturday, June 8th, from noon to 2 p.m. The service will follow at 2 p.m.
Our hearts are broken but the legacy she left us with will heal our hearts in time. She fought the good fight and kept her faith until the end. We love you mama and will miss your presence daily until we meet again.
