FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on Monday, June 3 who has been charged with Burglar 1st and Domestic Violence 3rd:
“On 6/3/19 at approximately 1:15 pm Patrol officers responded to a Burglary on E Limestone St in Florence. When officers arrived, they found a male and female walking near the residence. The officers that arrived at the residence advised that the male that broke into the home was Anthony Billings. Mr. Billings was the male subject that the other officers were out speaking with. After gathering statements from the victim and the female that was with Mr. Billings, he was arrested for Burglary 1st and Domestic Violence 3rd. The domestic violence charge involves a second victim that was present during this incident.
The victim of the burglary was treated at North Alabama Medical Center for injuries he suffered when he ran from the scene.
Mr. Billings was transported to Lauderdale County Detention Center for booking. He is currently still confined with a $51,000.00 bond.”
