Anita Kilburn Gilmore age 82 of Detroit, AL passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at her residence.
Born September 25, 1936 in Caledonia, MS she is the Daughter of the late Jaunita Seely and William “Billie” Kilburn, Sr. and the Wife of John Jackson Gilmore Jr. She had lived in Detroit most of her life, had worked in various garment plants over 40 years, and was a member of the Detroit First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Husband of 65 years, John Jackson Gilmore, Jr. a Son, Michael Keith (Vivian) Gilmore all of Detroit, AL, 6 Grandchildren, John Wesley (Melisa) Gilmore, Robert Matthew Gilmore, Jodi Michael (Consettia) Gilmore, Mary Elizabeth Gilmore, Derrick (Alisha) Dove and Dustin (Secly) Dove, 8 Great Grandchildren, Tyler Jackson Gilmore, Kylie Brianna Gilmore, Kirstin Brooke Tidwell, Kinsley Ann Tidwell, Addyson Mae Gilmore, Bryant Michael Gilmore, Bryar Dove and Breanna Dove, a Sister, Linda Stanford of Bartahatchie, MS and several Nieces and Nephews.
She was also preceded in death by 3 Brothers, William Kilburn,Jr., Earl Wayne Kilburn, and Bobby Kilburn.
Services held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Spruiell and Bro. Scott Bouldin officiating.
