Nancy Belle Foster Weldon – Obituary

Nancy Belle Foster Weldon, 76 of Empire, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 26, 2019. She was a member of Dilworth Church of God and was a longtime sales associate at Bargain Town and Wal-Mart stores.
Funeral services will be Tuesday April 30, 2019 at 11:00 at Dilworth Church of God. Rev. Nelson Kimberly, Rev. Everett Pruden and Rev. Joey Clark will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation is Monday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Clay Weldon; son, George Charles Weldon; parents, Noah Oscar Foster and Mary Ida Williams Foster Ballenger and James Pious Ballenger; her in laws, Alf and Dora Phillips Weldon; brothers, Ezra, Edgar, Rev. Amon, Grady, Almus Lee and Lando Foster and Delanie and Freeman Ballenger; sisters, Zellia Mae Hughes, Magdalene Gilliam, Annie Mae Reach, Mavis Peters, Mardie Phillips, Joy Mae Phillips, Doris Butler, Hazel Ballenger Stevens, Sybil Ballenger and Baby sister Foster; and many other family members waiting to welcome Nancy home.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Lynne Weldon; sister, Mary Eleanor Foster Clark; brothers, Lecil and Dick Ballenger; sisters in law, Mable and Wanda Weldon; brother in law, Joe Morris Weldon (Elaine); nieces, Teresa Vaughn (Richard) and Dorinda Clark; nephews, David Clark (Nita), Melvin, Homer and Glen Peters; a host of other nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones, including her Bargain Town and Wal-Mart families.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, and to all those who have visited, brought food, offered words of comfort, prayed or cared for Nancy over these last few weeks.
