Samuel Eugene Eddy passed away April 23, 2019 at his residence. He was a wonderful father to his son Cecil and he treated everyone he met as family. Sam was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and country music. Sam loved sports. He coached little league, was a fan of Auburn football and NASCAR, especially enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt race. Sam worked in the construction industry as an electrician. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Joan Eddy and his stepbrother, Jay Uptain. Sam is survived by his wife, Charlotte and mother of his son and wife of 20 years, Paula; sons, Cecil Eddy and Charlie Rawls (Gina);grandson, Kane Rawls; brother, Todd Eddy (Tammy); stepfather, Samuel Uptain; stepsister, Lisa Pickle (Rusty); niece, Brianna Grace Eddy; nephews, Michael Todd Eddy, Jr. (Sabrina), Brett Pickle (Jennifer), Brandon Pickle (Shelby), Jason Pickle and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. Services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home in Dora. Visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 am. Funeral service beginning at 11:00 am with burial in Good Hope Cemetery.
