Alice Mae Emerson, 70, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born March 30, 1948 in Opelika, AL and was a homemaker. She was a member of Single Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Vina, AL.

Services will be Saturday, March 30, 12 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Humphries officiating. Burial will be in Single Springs Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband – Robert Junior Emerson; three children – Jean Ann Pendley (Christie), Joyce Marie Wright (Kenny) and Larry Travis Emerson (Cindy); seven grandchildren– Austin Chance Williams, Jessica Renee McBride, Alaina Lou McBride, Larry Alexander Emerson, Aaron Wayne Pitts, Veronica Leigh Pace and Brad Parrish; one brother – Michael Flournoy and three sisters – Catherine Woods, Kay West and Teresa Guntharp.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Alvin Flournoy, her mother, Murlene Flournoy, two sons, Robert Alan Emerson and Harlon Wayne Bartlet, three brothers, Eddie Flournoy, Frankie Flournoy and Timothy Ralph Flournoy and six sisters, Jean Griggs, Joyce Harrison, Bonnie Watson, Shirley Pounders, Louise Hamm and Joan Knecht.

Pallbearers will be Larry Emerson, Marcus King, Shannon Cochran, Chris Lindley, Jeremy Malone and Clayton Diehl. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommie Hindman, Dwain Strickland, Kenny Wright and David Barnes.

Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
