Lealon O’Rear, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice, Tupelo, MS. He was born May 11, 1936 in Itawamba County, MS to Novis O’Rear and Nona Adams O’Rear. He worked at Johns Manville for forty-two years and was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Red Bay. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be Wednesday, March 27, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Mark Barnett and Bro. Josh Westmoreland officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery, New Site, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife – Margie Gentry O’Rear; two sons – Jack O’Rear and Todd O’Rear (Alicia); four grandchildren – Dallas, Justin, Jeb and Kaylee O’Rear; five great-grandchildren – Nicholas, Justin, Morgan, Maeloni and Jase; two brothers – Addis and Joan O’Rear, Winthrop Harbor, IL and Dexter and Jana O’Rear, Fulton, MS; two sisters – Glenda and Nelson Elrod and Linda Blanton, Red Bay, AL; sisters-in-law – Holley and Betty Tennison, Brandon, MS, Billy and Mittie Sartain, Belmont, MS and James and Dorothy Bailey, New Site, MS and a large host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jack O’Rear, Todd O’Rear, Dallas O’Rear and Jeff O’Rear.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27, 10-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
