Charles William “Bill” Hatcher, age 77 of Empire, passed away on Friday March 1, 2019. He was a graduate of Dora High School, class of 1959, where he was a proud member of the Dora Bulldog football team. He was a retired U.S. Army Master Sargent. He was a Master Mason of more than 50 years. He was a member and Past Master of both Brooklin Lodge #704 in Dora and Maryland Lodge # 783 in Siipsey.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Armstrong; father, Charles Hubert Hatcher; grandparents, William Dennis Armstrong and Helen Olene Armstrong and his sister, Charlene Hatcher.
Survivors include his sister, Sondra Sandlin and husband Neal of Winfield; niece, Lisa Cordell; several cousins and other relatives, and a close friend, Renea Weems.
A Memorial service will be held on a date to be announced.
