Mrs. Ruby Hester, 95, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center, Florence. Born in Red Bay, she was a lifelong resident of the area. A homemaker, she was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. y

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, March 3, 2019, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Taylor and Bobby Stancil officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, Phil Campbell. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons.
Mrs. Hester is survived by her children: Linda Helton (Larry); Charlotte Rouillier (Paul); Jerry Hester; Donnie (D. Ray) Hester (Rhonda); Pam Lawler (Michael); Larry Hester (Denise); and Melissa Stancil (Jeff); siblings: Carl Nix, O.V. Nix, Jack Nix (Patti), Billy Nix (Margie); sisters-in-law, Ruth Nix and Peggy Bendall; grandchildren: Scott Rouillier (Noelle), Brad Rouillier (Laura), Jamie Lawler (Nicole), Adam Lawler (Cierra), Bryan Hester (Jill), Katie Bullen, Shelby Marquez (Alfredo), Caitlin Witt (Jackson), Blake Hester, Matthew Stancil, Sarah Hall (D.J.), Dustin Lawler (Lindsey), and Jared Lawler (Morgan); 11 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, James R. Hester; parents, George E. and Flossie Nix; sister, Doris Mayfield, and brothers, Fred and Roy Nix.
