Olen Jerome Greene, age 78, was born September 25, 1940 in Russellville, Alabama. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 7, 2019 during a short respite stay at Cottage of the Shoals.
Jerome is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Migueis (Sergio), and Dana Greene-Davis (Chris); grandchildren, Kristan Steele VonHagle, Brittany Wallis (Tommy), Alyssa Steele Rogers (Lucus), Tiffany Steele Lopez (Kevin), Ethan Davis, Evan Davis, and Tatiana Migueis.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Sarah June Bendall Greene; parents, Olen T. and Ethel Bruton Greene; sister, Winnie Plowden; sons, David Jerome and Patrick T. Greene.
Jerome was a member of Mt. Hope Methodist Church. He was a multicraft mechanic-millwright. He retired from Champion Paper Mill and Monsanto where he also served as a supervisor. He loved the outdoors and the days of farming. He was loved by all who knew him.
