Laura Faye Castle Gooch, age 68, of Florence, passed away February 22, 2019. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, from noon until 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reba Price and Lawrence Castle; children, Hoyet Dewayne Pounders and Edward Ray Pounders; sisters, Edith Marlene and Barbara; and brothers, Jimmy and Bill.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Gooch; sisters, Charlene, Sheila, Delores, Loretta and Debo; and brothers, Mickey, Dennie and Ronald.
Laura loved her little dog, Bill, her family gatherings and singing and listening to gospel music.
