Homer Miles, age 89, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away January 19, 2019 at Lakeland Community Hospital. He was a member of Sardis No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church, in Lynn, AL. (Co. Rd. 17), was retired from Posey Supply and in later years worked with Pinkard Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday, January 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sardis No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn, Alabama. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Bro. Ronnie Hodge and Bro. Ronnie Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers, Jake Dodd, Jeremy Albright, Daniel Miles, Jonathan Miles, Bobby Harbin and Junior Mathews.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Steven (Diane) Miles and Gary Michael (Tena) Miles; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of family, friends and church family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin David “Tonnie” Miles and Lilly Florence Miles; wife, Magel Kelly Miles; siblings, Johnny, Luther, Minnie, Leona, Emma and Ezona; and children, Kathy Diane and John Wayne Miles.
