The funeral service for Myrtilene W. Luker, age 81 of Delta, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. Wes Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley’s Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Luker passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston. She was a Randolph County native and had lived most of her life in Clay County. Mrs. Luker had worked at the Wedowee sewing plant and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Wesley’s Chapel Christian Church.
Mrs.Luker is survived by one daughter, Marsha Spurlin (fiancée James) of Childersburg; four grandchildren: Michael Spurlin, Marshall Spurlin, Courtney Boyd and Matthew Luker; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sandra Traylor of Bowdon, GA and Mary Ann Ward of Phenix City.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William Elton White and Lona Mae Holloway White; one son, Phillip Luker, six sisters and two brothers.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. The family requests no flowers.
