Jimmy Thomas Young, 84, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Burns Nursing Home, Russellville. A retired home builder, he was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Phil Campbell. A native of Kentucky, he had lived in Russellville for the past twelve years.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, November 30, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Darryl Butts officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell. Pallbearers include James Woodall, Ricky Young, Tommy Young, Sean Young, Jacky Hutcheson, and Kevin Hutcheson.
Surviving Mr. Young are his children: Larry, Ricky, Tommy, Sherry, and Sean; one sister, Ruby Howard, and one brother, Darrell Young. Ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren also survive him as do nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Arvie Young who passed in 2016; his parents, Vernon and Betty Sue Dukes Young; and 14 brothers and sisters.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
