Judith Lee Black Thrasher, age 77, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gary Patton and Jerry Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Judith was a retired bank teller and a member of the East Florence Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady Lee and Dorothy Lee Willingham Black; and father and mother-in-law, Lewis Edward and Ruby Gladys Hickson Thrasher.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert P. “Bud” Thrasher; daughters, Amy L. Thrasher and Anne R. Thrasher; sisters, Carolyn Juanita Black Rickard (Joe) and Dorothy Evelyn Black Henderson (Jerry); grandchildren, Caitlin R. Thrasher, Alyssa R. Russell and Masaya’ R. Russell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Ronald Williams, Jeff, Dan and Tim Henderson, Bob Olive and David Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are the elders and deacons of East Florence Church of Christ.
