Eleanor Diggle Hovater was born in Tuscumbia to the late Frederick and Leona Diggle on February 1, 1949 and was freed from her battle with dementia on November 9, 2018. She is now whole and in the loving arms of God.
Among those who will never forget her laugh, her kindness, and undying love are her daughter, Melissa Hovater of Birmingham; her surviving siblings, Nannette Smith (Buster) and Fred Diggle; her honorary sister, Carolyn Wilson, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Leona and her sisters, Marie Woodis and Diane Holt.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
