Mrs. Viola Rosetta Murphree, age 83, of Joppa, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mrs. Murphree was born on February 1, 1935 in Marshall County to Lawrence McGill & Leecy Bright McGill. Mrs. Murphree enjoyed gardening, tending to flowers, cooking, making decoration flowers & visiting the Smoky Mountains.
She is a member of Bonds Chapel Free Holiness Church.
Mrs. Murphree is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank William Murphree; daughters and son-in-law, Donna Murphree Moon & Vicky Yarbrough & Ethan; grandchildren, Leesa Hayes & Chris, Clint Murphree & Jessica, Andrew Yarbrough; great grandchildren, Alex Hayes, Ky Murphree, Chloe Hayes; brother, Chester McGill; sisters & brother-in-laws, Betty Hill, Bonnie Hankins, Nancy Dudley, June Tolton & Junior, Becky Banister & Kenneth. Preceded in death by parents, son & daughter-in-law, Frankie Murphree & Dale; brother, Bill McGill; sister, Ada Bell Bonds.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 27, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Verlon Wilmon, Bro. Steve Mahan, Bro. Roy Walls, officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include, Norman Light, Justin Tolton, David Warren, Alan Murphree, Terry Bonds, Stanley Murphree, Randall Warren, Donnie Joe Murphree,
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
