Clarence William “Buddy” Wallace Jr. – Obituary

Clarence William “Buddy” Wallace Jr., 84, of Florence, died Friday, September 21, 2018. His family will receive friends today, September 23, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bill Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park.

Buddy was a native of Colbert County. He was a United States Air Force and Army National Guard veteran, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Buddy was a retired Staff Sergeant with the 115 Signal Battalion in Florence and a retired truck driver and aircraft mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hedy Wallace; parents, Clarence W. and Grace Wallace; son, Clarence William “Bubba” Wallace III; brothers, Dennis and David Wallace; sisters, Ruby Crocker, Margaret Wallace and Shirley Sexton; and great grandson, Garrett Ballew.

Buddy is survived by his sons, Johnny, Randell, and Todd Wallace; daughters, Debra Orr and Melanie Vandiver; brothers, Howard, Douglas, Kenneth Sr., and Raymond Wallace; sisters, Patricia Stowe and Dorothy Hollinger; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Buddy’s family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
