Helen Joyce Gibbons Kendall, of Sheffield, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the age of 91. Her visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sheffield. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Chad Holder officiating. She will be buried in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sheffield since 1957. She taught Sunday School and Acteens, and served the Lord Faithfully. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James Allen Kendall; son, Ronald Allen Kendall, and wife Janet; grandsons, Jason Kendall, and wife Kandi, and Jacob Kendall; and great-grandchildren, Boston, Brynli and Beckham Kendall.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sheffield, 301 Atlanta Ave., Sheffield, AL 35660.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
