Marshel Veto Garrison, 88, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home in Russellville. Retired from U.S. Reduction, Mr. Garrison was a member of Mount Home Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation with family and friends was Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service Saturday, August 25th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Jeff Fleming and Mike Smith officiating. Burial in East Franklin Cemetery, Phil Campbell.

Survivors include his children, Wayne Paul Garrison and wife Elaine; Judy Dianne Kinard and husband Marlon; Phillip Dale Garrison and wife Marilyn; and Sandra Gail Smith and husband Mike; brother. L.D. Garrison; grandchildren, Jenny Wynn, Chris McNatt, Valerie Southern, Talitha Fleming, Brad Garrison, Beth Brown, Lyle Garrison, Lorie Scott, Layla Raper, Leslie Moore and Rachel Myrick; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mr. Garrison in death were his wife, Cathryn Heaps Garrison in 2005; parents, Thomas Messer and Josie Pinkard Garrison; siblings, William “Bud” Garrison, Bessie Bray, Velma Pierce, Oscar “Buster” Garrison, Marvin Garrison, Roy Garrison, Cliff Garrison and Billy Garrison; son, Wyndle Garrison; granddaughter, Tracy McNatt; and great-grandson, Paxton Baker.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
