Funeral services for Mr. Gerry Dixon Johns, age 63 of Good Hope will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cullman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley Springs Cemetery with Bro. Scott Guthrie officiating.
Gerry was born on June 1, 1955 to the late Sherman Dixon Johns & Mamie Victoria Elms Johns; and he passed away at his residence on Friday, August 17, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Jean Dye; two brothers, Erston Johns & Larry Johns.
Mr. Johns was a long time member of Valley Springs Church, had served his country in the Alabama National Guard; and was the owner of Johns Excavating Company.
Survivors include his Wife of 41 years – Jennifer Edmondson Johns; Daughter – Brandi (Tommy) Brown; Son – Patrick Johns;2 – Sisters – Laura Mae (Bill) Hatton & Patricia Skinner; 2 – Sisters-in-Law – Delores Helms & Patsy Johns; Brother – L.D. Johns; Brother-in-Law – Christopher (Carmen) Edmondson; 4 – Grandchildren – Peyton Brown, Allison Brown, Hank Johns & Sammie Johns.
Visitation will be held a the funeral home on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
