Funeral services for Alvis Dwain Morris 90, will be Saturday, August 4, 2018. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Robert Crawford officiating at Moss Funeral Home. Alvis departed this walk of life to enter into his life with Christ August 1, 2018. Alvis was born January 26, 1928 to Otto E. and Lottie A. Childers Morris. He was preceded in death by (infant daughter, Patricia Caroline), wife, Juanita (Chastain) Morris, father Otto E. Morris, mother Lottie A. (Childers) Morris, sister Beatrice (Morris) Hopper.

Alvis was an avid hunter, an extensive traveler and an avid camper. He began his working career on a farm in Cullman County, Al. Then worked several valleys in California in the vegetable and fruit industry. Alvis also served in the United States Army. After his military service Alvis worked thirty years with General Motors in Parama, Oh, until retirement. After retirement he returned to West Point, Al, then to Bonita Springs, Fl and then back to West Point, Al.
