Isabelle O’Shea – Obituary

Isabelle O’Shea, 91, peacefully passed away in Florence on July 19, 2018. Visitation Sunday, July 29th from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rite of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 30th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Roy Runkle officiating.

Isabelle was born in Solomon, Arizona on April 9, 1927. After graduating from high school, she moved to Phoenix where she would meet her husband, Don “Tim” O’Shea, and completed beautician school. She married Tim O’Shea a WWII veteran in 1950 who was a graduate of the Thunderbird International School of Business Phoenix, Arizon. Isabelle accompanied him when his work assigned him to South Africa, Central America and Peru. She was fluent in Spanish and at one time could speak English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. While living in Peru, she became an avid golfer and won many awards while playing in various Women’s Golf Associations. She was a self-taught guitar player and loved to play and sing for her family. She loved being a homemaker, sewing, crocheting, and caring for her grandchildren – who were the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim O’Shea and siblings, Blanche Franco, Lillian Parra, Albert Sainz, Anna Castro, Frank Sainz and Irene Ortega.

Surviving her are her children, Timothy J. O’Shea and wife, Paulette, San Diego, California, Harry F. O’Shea and wife, Beth, Thousand Oaks, California and Anna O’Shea-Smith and husband, Dr. JD Smith, Florence; her grandchildren, Kelsey O’Shea Fisher, Madrid, New York, Sean O’Shea, Kate O’Shea, Shannon O’Shea, Tim O’Shea, Jack Smith, HN Scott Smith-USN, Mark Smith and Tricia Smith.
