ARC Grants Monies For Purchase Of Chromebook For Franklin And Lauderdale Counties

FRANKLIN COUNTY/LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Franklin County Schools Board of Education will purchase 360 Chromebook computers and software which will be used to provide students in six schools with the tools needed for science, math, and other technology related courses and provide enhanced connectivity in five classrooms at Belgreen High School. A Grant of $110,500.00 made possible through ARC (Appalachian Regional Commission) was receieved just before start of the 2018-2019 school year.

The Lauderdale County Board of Education will purchase 518 Chromebook computers and 20 storage carts to augment the Lauderdale County School System’s current supply of classroom learning technology and promote its Technology in Education Initiative, a program that seeks to enhance the education and technological capabilities of students in kindergarten through sixth grade. This  grant  of $79,880.00 made through ARC (Appalachian Regional Commission) will serve Lauderdale County.
