Gerald D. Winstead age 83 of Rogersville passed away Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at Morningside Assisted Living. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a 1956 graduate of Mississippi State College and retired from Bevill State Community College of 26 years. Mr. Winstead was also a member and deacon of Happy Valley Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 6th from 1 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Civitan Cemetery with Reverend Jeremiah Gibbs officiating.
Mr. Winstead was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Iva Winstead; wife, Daree Winstead and his sister, Willa Smith. He is survived by his children, Kelly (Mark) Johnson and Mark (Kathy) Winstead; grandchildren, Candis (Lucas) Hale, Sarah (Jeremiah) Gibbs, Seth (Julie) Winstead, Bonnie (James) Mitchell, Anna Winstead and Sam Winstead; great-grandchildren, Evan, Madelynn, Katelynn, Jeremiah, Jr., Liberty, Jack, Nate, Sawyer, Rhys, Annie-Rose, Lottie, Lochlan, Natalie and Liam.
