Funeral service for Clinton Lee Nicholson, 78, will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Hastings, Bro. Thomas Elder and Bro. Elliott Gordon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Nicholson died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1939, in Winston County to William Luther Nicholson and Grace Lee Vandiver Nicholson. He graduated from Haleyville High School in 1958. After graduation his first job was for Automatic Screw Machine Products in Decatur, Alabama. He worked for this company and retired in 2005 with 46 1/2 years of service. He loved gardening, fishing and traveling with friends and family. He loved spending time with his family. He and the love of his life, Gertie, were married for 58 1/2 years. He attended Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers: Vernon, Charles and Lowell Nicholson and three sisters: Idell Rogers, Inez Alexander and Juanita Tidwell.
