Funeral service for J. Matthew Wilson, Esq., 34, will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with Rev. Dr. Gary Strickland officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Private family burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Huntsville. Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilson died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Grandview Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1983, in Georgia to Rev. Dr. Ron Wilson and Jody Clanton Wilson. Matthew was a 2001 Honor graduate of Hartselle High School and was a member of the marching band. He was an academic achiever attending Samford University receiving his undergraduate of Business, a J.D at Cumberland School of Law and his MBA from Brock School of Business. He was a member of the Phi KAPPA Phi Fraternity, the Young Lawyers Association and a Board Member of the Southern Research Credit Union. He loved Auburn Football and enjoyed attending the games. He loved the water; the beach, a pool, the lake or a river, he loved it all. Matthew found great joy helping people.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Knowlton, Ben Lancaster, Ben Robbins, Marcus Husky, Michael Ferguson and Tim Moon.
