George Anthony Galbraith – Obituary

George Anthony Galbraith, age 62  died September, 20 2012.  He was born in Jackson, TN and reared in Henderson, the son of the late Claude O’Neal and Georgia Newman Galbraith. He graduated Chester County High School. He was married to Fayrene McClintock on July 17, 1970 they were married for 42 years, and lived in Kansas for a few years where Anthony worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and attended Kansas City School of Watchmakers. They made their home in Henderson. Anthony was a watchmaker and owner of Galbraith Jewelry. He attended the United Methodist Church in Henderson. He had a love of hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Fayrene McClintock Galbraith and a brother, Claude Michael (Connie) Galbraith of Henderson, Tennessee; sister in law, Wilda McClintock White (Robert) of Memphis, Tn.; brother in laws, Royce McClintock (Shirley) of Brentwood Tn., Douglas McClintock, Jackson Tn.; Aunts Bobbie Sue Newman of Henderson Tn., and Julia Ann Pitts of Kernersville NC., and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother in law Dwight McClintock and a sister in law Anna McClintock.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday September 22, 2012 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Dr. Roger Penn officiating and burial will follow in the Henderson City Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve are Terry Smith, Brandon Smith, O’Neal Galbraith, Glen White, Justin McClintock
