Mary Elizabeth Smith, age 86, passed away Jan. 1, 2018.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Jimmy Kent (Alicia), Judy Rivers (Ricky), and Johnny Kent and his late wife, Ann; six grandchidren, James, Anthony, Misty, Daniel, Cathy, and April; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Neal DeVaney (Martha); sister, Ruby Fuller (Ricky); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry DeVaney and Gladys DeVaney; brothers, Louis, Marvin, and Jay Bruce DeVaney; and sisters, Margaret Dalrymple and Lilly McBrayer.
Jimmy and Judy would like to say a special thanks to our brother Johnny for being with our Mom every evening for her evening meal.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Tuscumbia, Alabama, on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 2 p.m. with Brother Ray Hughes officiating. The opening prayer will be given by Brother Alex Pingree.
The family requests no flowers.
