Jane D. Harmon – Obituary

Jane D. Harmon passed away at home early Tuesday morning with her family near her side. Jane was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s disease many years ago, and has been under hospice care for the past two years. Jane was a loving wife, mother, sister, and never met a stranger.

Jane was preceded in death by her father, Robert O. Downey; her mother, Flora Sockwell Downey; and her uncle, Jerry B. Sockwell. She is survived by her husband, Ron Harmon; daughter, Audrey Harmon; son, Chris Harmon; grandchildren, Reagan and Gage Harmon; brothers, Roger and Tim Downey and their respective wives, Deborah and Wanda; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 6 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 4 in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your preferred Alzheimer’s research organization.
