Edith Christine Fielder White – Obituary

 Mrs. Edith Christine Fielder White departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama at the age of 83 years, seven months, and 24 days. She was born March 7, 1934, in Lutts, Tennessee the daughter of the late C.H. and Earline Bevis Fielder. She was united in marriage to J.C. White on March 8, 1952.

Mrs. White was retired from El Rancho Furniture. She was a member of the Stateline Church of Christ and Hwy 69 Volunteer Fire Department.

She is survived by her husband, J.C. White, Lutts, Tennessee; sons, Donnie White, Hornlake, Mississippi, Johnny White, Florence, Alabama, and Bobby White and wife, Tracy, and daughter, Cindy Smith, all of Lutts, Tennessee; grandchildren, Christy Davis, Eric White, Katie White, Kevin Smith, Jessie White, and Kayla Covington; great-grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Payton Davis, Makayla Wilkerson, Brycen Wilkerson, Allison Hays, and Trevor Covington; and sister, Charlene Hatchett, Lutts, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Fielder and James Fielder.

Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee with David Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be today, 6-9 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers are O.C. Fielder, Wayford Fielder, Carlton Fielder, Paul Fielder, Tommy Covington, Chase Walters. Honorary are Aaron Fielder, Ray Fielder, Kevin Smith, Jessie White, Eric White, and Dalton Davis.
