Larry Junior Underwood, 67, died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, Tn. He was born in Itawamba County, Ms. and worked for Itawamba County Waste Management. He attended Calvary Temple, Golden, Ms.
Services will be Friday, October 6, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Golden, Ms. with Bro. Lane Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Hodge Cemetery, Golden, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of forty-six years – Nola Underwood, Golden, Ms.; two children – Melissa Brown and Amanda Gurley; four grandchildren – Andrea Gurley, Kristy Gurley, Wesley Gurley and Haley Brown; three brothers – Bervin Underwood (Nell), Murlis Underwood (Joann) and Troy Underwood (Peggy); sister-in-law – Judy Underwood and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis M. Underwood and Cora L. Pruitt Underwood, a brother, Ervin Underwood and a sister, Peggy Underwood.
Pallbearers will be Tim Underwood, Phillip Underwood, Andy Underwood, Dean Underwood, Byron Underwood and Dale Underwood.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, at Antioch Baptist Church and continue until service time on Friday.
