SGM Herbert “Herb” Ray Igo (Ret), age 73 of Meridianville passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017.
SGM Igo is survived by his wife Wanda Deweese Igo; children Charissa Igo Watson, Mis- sy Igo Lusk (Brandon), Craig Igo (Leah); five grandchildren Bethany, Abbey, Rylan, Darby and Myles; sister Linda Igo McDaniel; and several aunts, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. SGM Igo was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Igo and Marie Owens, two brothers David and Jerry Igo.
He retired a SGM with the US Army after 22 and 1/2 years of service, was a Bronze Star recipient and served two tours in Vietnam. He also retired from PEO Aviation on RSA.
Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with a 1:00 p.m. chapel service officiated by Dr. Terry Davis and Tim Boyett. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery with full military rites. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Shriner’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
