Johnny Cunningham – Obituary

On the evening of Tuesday June 13th, at his home in Muscle Shoals, Alabama our beloved father, husband, and grandfather, Johnny Cunningham, past from this life to meet his Lord and Savior. Visitation will be Saturday, June 17th from 11 am until 12 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 12 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Edgil officiating. The burial services will be at 3 pm in Eldridge, Alabama at Kelly Cemetery.

Johnny Cunningham was born on November 22, 1932 in Eldridge, Alabama to Lester and Ruth Cunningham. He was member of Woodard Avenue Baptist Church, a Sunday school teacher and Deacon. He was retired from the Air Force and TVA. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Theresa Milam; grandchildren, Dylan Milam and Kasie Simmons; and sister, Carol Ann Edgil.

Johnny is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Barbara; daughters, Sandra and Mickey Hamilton of Muscle Shoals, Rebecca and Jason Swindle of Tuscumbia and Sheri and Ted Pennington of Vail, Arizona; brothers, Jimmy Cunningham of Eldridge and Lester Cunningham of Tuscumbia; and sister, Billie Hamilton of Jasper. He leaves behind nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of Keller Home Health and Keller Hospice.
