Mr. George W. “Pete” Fisher, age 78, of Russellville, was called home on Friday, June 9, 2017. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, June 11, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Mr. James Lee will officiate. Interment will follow in cemetery of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, located in the Mountain Star community of Franklin County.
Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his beloved wife of forty-nine years, Sarah Peden Fisher; parents, George and Mattie Fisher; and sisters, Ethel Utley, Edith Woodson, and Betty Edwards.
Pete is survived by his children, Barbara Bange (Sam) of Tuscumbia, Chris Fisher (April) of Tuscumbia, and Sabrina Handley (Allen) of Cherokee; grandchildren, Ashley (Scott), Brittney (Josh), Heather, Bridget (Ben), Jacob, and Allisha; great grandchildren, Michael, Brookelynn, Sway, Gracie, Hadlee, Brantley, Addison, and Lane; sister, Virginia Allen; a dear sweet companion, Ms. Jeanette Hardin; bonus children, Janet, Tammy, and Pam; bonus grandchildren, Patrick, Ashley, and Faith; and bonus great grandchildren, Abbie, Calianna, and Eraleigh.
Pallbearers include Scott Harrison, Jacob Fisher, Ben Balentine, Josh Matlock, Donny Holland, and Dennis Tackett. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Edwards, Tommy Allen, and Gary Allen.
